SCHOLARS 2017

Dear Attorney Tavis Tindall,

I just wanted to thank you so much for granting me the possibility to get the Madre Latina scholarship on May 6, 2017.  With the high prices that colleges expect us to pay, this scholarship is what allowed me to even think about college. Receiving this scholarship has brought me one step closer to achieving my dreams and helping others just like you did for me.

                                           Sincerely,

                                          Camilo Barrera

Hello, my name is Jazmin Rivera, I am the student you selected for the resilience scholarship. Sorry if I may be late to email you this, things have been getting pretty busy. I would like to just say thank you so much for picking me for this scholarship. It is a great honor to receive this under your name and the Madre Latina community. I honestly did not believe I would receive such a blessing once I applied. Thank you again so much, and God bless you.

I would like to thank Stone Academy and Madre Latina for having the scholarship available and for accepting me for the scholarship. With this scholarship I will proceed in my education and eventually earn a college degree. Not many people get an opportunity such as this scholarship, so once again I want to say thank you for giving me this opportunity and choosing me to receive this scholarship. Jordan Rosario, Kaynor Tec, Waterbury CT

I’d like to express my sincere gratitude for the generous scholarship I have been awarded from Stone Academy. I am grateful for the opportunities this award will provide me with. I appreciate your recognition of the effort that I have put towards serving my community and school.

Thanks to Stone Academy and Madre Latina for choosing me as the recipient for the Latino Scholarship for Community Service. Words can not explain how grateful I am to attend the University of Connecticut this fall semester. By receiving this scholarship it will help reduce my financial burdens and provide assistance for me as I continue pursuing my education.

Receiving this award will motivate me to keep pursuing my dreams. Thank you again for the scholarship.

                                Sincerely, Gailen Leon

I want to give a huge thank you to Madre Latina, Geraldo Reyes and the Reyes family for enabling me to expand my education. Through their shared roots, aspirations, and hopes, their efforts are helping dis-enabled children everyday reach their potential through secondary education.

The Madre Latina institution embodies education, empowerment, and selfless humanitarianism. I am incredibly lucky to not only be a part of this movement, but to be a recipient of the scholarship through the incredible Reyes family. Upon meeting Geraldo and his daughter, their passion for youth advancement is tangible.

I am so grateful for their support and confidence in me and I know that their conjoined efforts will continue to help youth like myself succeed everyday.

Thank you so much to the Madre Latino Foundation and the amazing Geraldo Family!"
