HOW TO NOMINATE A CANDIDATE
To deserve consideration for the Awards, the Nominee must have performed continuing humanitarian service in any form. The award is intent
to recognize especially those who actively help others. Nominees are eligible in ONE category only. Past winners are not eligible in the categories previous won. Incomplete forms will be
disqualified.
Submit the nomination to Madre Latina no later than March 28, 2016
BUILD BRIDGE AWARD
- Ambassador noted for building strong connection with those around them, including youths,
parents, community partners, politicians and others;
- Work well with people from all backgrounds;
- Promote inclusive environment;
- Act as Mentor to support others;
- Demonstrate a commitment to active above.
LEADERSHIP AWARD
- Individuals that has demonstrated significant impact in addressing society’s critical
needs;
- Display a proven ability to collaborate in innovative inclusive ways;
- Show new ways they identify need, generate solutions and assess progress toward
goals;
- Model leadership presence
GREAT EDUCATOR AWARD
- Exceptional educational talent as evidence by outstanding instructional practice in the
classroom, school, and profession.
- Outstanding accomplishment and strong long-range potential for professional and policy
leadership.
- An engaging and inspiring presence that motivates and impact colleagues, students and
community.
ENTREPRENEUR AWARD
- Individuals that demonstrate capability to organize a business and develop and idea in the
city;
- Works in partnership with individuals, groups and communities;
- Ability to overcome barriers;
- Innovation and exhibited through products, services, production, marketing strategies and
management aspect of the business.
SPIRIT OF ENTREPENUER AWARD
- Individuals that demonstrate capability to organize a new or in-home business;
- Works in partnership with individuals, groups and communities;
- Ability to set goals and develop a business plan;
- Ability to inspire others and generate enthusiasm for their leadership and business
skills.
SOCIAL IMPACT AWARD
- Individuals that have made outstanding contributions to social justice through policy
development, advocacy, leadership or representation;
- Works in partnership with individuals, groups and communities;
- Promotes system change in public policy, service systems or services through advocacy or
influence.
THE SOCIAL JUSTICE AWARD
- Individuals that demonstrate courage, compassion, and leadership while working to eliminate
oppression, and injustice locally;
- Works in partnership with individuals, groups and communities.
PARTNER OF THE YEAR AWARD
- Provide opportunities to the Hispanic community to engage in meaningful services
- Demonstrate collaborative and reciprocal partner with the community to address community
needs
- Empower families to make real difference in the community
- Serve as a role model to the community
YOUNG WOMEN OF TOMORROW AWARD
- Significant Contribution or start special projects in the community that involves others to
contribute;
- Individual needs to have goals for herself for the future and pursuing this goals;
- Show her determination and passion which uses to follow through with her goals and
objectives;
- Ability to inspire others, generate enthusiasm, leads with her actions in ways such as
volunteering, and outing her leadership abilities.
- Nominee should be enrolled in colleges or Technical/Vocational school for the present academic
year
- At the time of nomination, nominee should mantain a GPA of at least (3.0)
